Nury Martinez Elected as LA City Council President

On Tuesday, December 3rd the Los Angeles City Council elected Nury Martinez as their new president. Nury represents the 6th district in Los Angeles, located in the San Fernando Valley where she was born and raised. She has been a powerful voice for low income and homeless individuals in Los Angeles. Her solutions for Los Angeles are both powerful and practical. For instance, Nury has embraced a local “Green New Deal” as a vision for Los Angeles into the future.
